IOT fueled with 5G technology

Have you heard of 5G? The 5G can autonomously send data over large areas. They are not only limited to smartphones, but also, wearable, medical devices, cars, businesses, and the government. All these devices aim to provide some certain kind of service.

It is estimated that IoT devices will have grown to 21 billion by 2025. Most smart devices are evolving and so are the technologies being used.

The future of 5G in different sectors:

1)    Manufacturing industry

These industries are broad and will benefit highly from the latest technologies. The technologies will play a major role in producing products and services that were not available. For example, some manufactured devices may have virtual reality capabilities to make their use easier.

Virtual reality helps to show scenes and objects that appear real. This makes users feel like they are in a different environment. This is done through a virtual reality (V.R) device like a headset. Hence, if someone is in pain, they can be given a VR device to help change their focus.

The other aspect is cost-saving through smart factories.  In this, data from sensors will increase production efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and better operational process controls. IoT 5G devices will reduce costs and generate new revenue streams.

2)    Smart Cities

The relationship between 5G and Artificial Intelligence will help improve the lives of citizens. For example, in the movie theater, people can easily get notifications of parking spaces where they are headed to avoid wasting time finding available parking spaces to park their car.

The use of artificial intelligence will lead to better traffic moderation. People will be directed on the right routes to take to avoid traffic jams. This could save time and frustration on the road. In the long run, it will reduce pollution.

3)    Vehicles connectivity

5G will enhance safe and autonomous vehicles on the road. Automation will be a major factor in influencing transportation. Moreover, autonomous vehicles will have the capability to guide themselves. These automated vehicles are the ones that are driven without the use of the manual or human intervention. It’s like the car has a brain of its own.

Later developments will allow repair facilities to be synchronized with the vehicles. Hence, they will be able to track the condition of a car and notify the owner when it needs repair.

The 5G in the vehicle industry will provide new opportunities for these self-driving cars. Such vehicles could be rented out and even be part of ride-sharing services.

4)    Healthcare connection

The 5G network invention in the healthcare section will help enhance the health of many patients. The connection will be powerful to make it possible for surgeons to get advice from other powerful specialists when undertaking a procedure they have never done.

Through virtual reality, a woman in labor can be helped to think of something else while giving birth to lessen the pain felt. Even surgeons can look at successful surgery to save lives.

The health monitors that measure certain parameters in your body, can help patients to monitor their health and seek help when the need arises. Hence, this will prevent unchecked diseases from progressing in a patient unawareness.

5)    AI and Augmented reality

5G and edge computing will provide the necessary bandwidth and dynamic workload management to enable various institutions to use virtual and augmented reality to get remote guidance and assistance.

Augmented reality is the interactive mode in which real objects are enhanced by computers across various sensors. They simply become computerized.

5G will enhance the easier connectivity of sensors in buildings to drive new solutions for energy efficiency.

6)    Agriculture and shipping

5G will ultimately change the Agricultural sector. Drones will autonomously survey spots in the field using visual analytics to assess any farm issues. This includes; pests on the farm, growth rates of plants, best harvesting time, and when to provide relevant pesticides.

Agricultural officers won’t have to survey land manually, but use the technologies to survey the land and guide faster on what to do. The 5G technologies will help track and monitor shipments and shipping containers. This will help to track the various products on the way.

Conclusion

The Future of IoT is bright. This is in the various sectors. Various industries are highly making use of IOT technologies to ease work and make life simpler. Hence, don’t be left out. Be part of the progressing professionals.
